Two St Finian's churches on one townland

Newcastle Lyons has two churches associated with St Finian: the medieval church site, incorporating a late 14th century fortified tower and now used by the Church of Ireland, and the Catholic St Finian's Church built in 1813 after the relaxation of the penal laws.
