Bingo and a members' draw funded the church

The parish website states that weekly Bingo, envelope collections and a £100 Members Draw raised roughly £100,000 toward the permanent church, at a time when the parish already carried debt from building a school and community centre.

Parish crest depicts Ciaran and the chieftain Dermot
