Foundation stone blessed by a pope

The Archdiocese of Dublin's parish listing states that the foundation stone of the Church of the Transfiguration was blessed by Pope John Paul II during his 1979 visit to Ireland, before being formally laid by Archbishop Dermot Ryan in March 1980.
