The popular name Adam and Eve's comes, according to the Irish Franciscans, from the Adam and Eve Inn, whose entrance concealed the friars' secret Mass chapel during a period when Catholic worship was restricted.

Wikipedia describes the church's pipe organ, built in 1936 by T. W. Magahy and rebuilt in 1996, as the largest pipe organ in a Catholic church in Dublin, with around 3,000 pipes.
