    Parish church built The Archdiocese of Dublin's parish record states the parish church of Dalkey was built in 1841.
  • 1854
    Cardinal Newman stays in Dalkey The Archdiocese of Dublin's parish record notes that Cardinal John Henry Newman stayed at Mount Salus in Dalkey in late summer 1854.
  • 1927
    Parish reorganisation with Glasthule (direction disputed) The Archdiocese of Dublin's Dalkey parish page states Dalkey was constituted in 1927 from Glasthule. The Archdiocese's Glasthule parish page, fetched separately for a companion church in this batch, states the opposite: that Glasthule was constituted in 1927 from Dalkey. Since Dalkey's own church already existed from 1841, it is more plausible that Glasthule was the newer parish split off from Dalkey, but this is not stated outright by either source and the conflict is recorded rather than resolved.
