    Rivermount parish founded The parish of Rivermount was established, with the first Mass celebrated on 22 December 1974 in the hall of the future St Finian's school.

    Foundation stone laid The foundation stone of St Oliver Plunkett's church was laid in July 1976.

    Church blessed and opened St Oliver Plunkett's church was blessed and opened on 4 November 1976.

    Augustinians take charge of the parish The Order of St Augustine took responsibility for Rivermount parish in 1986, under Finbarr Fogarty, remaining until June 2022.
