Earlier church now houses the public library

The 1776 St Maur's church building was later adapted to house Rush public library, after the current church was dedicated alongside it in 1989.

    Church built near Rush town centre A new Catholic church was built closer to the centre of Rush, replacing the earlier chapel at Whitestown. A general reference source identifies it as one of the earliest surviving penal era Catholic churches in the Fingal area.

    New church dedicated A new church, described as built in post Vatican II style, was dedicated next to the 1776 building, which was later adapted as Rush public library.
