    Parish founded Archdiocese material describes the original St Joseph's parish in Ballymun as founded around 1975, staffed by the Missionary Society of St Columban.
  • 2016
    Mass of Farewell for the Columban Fathers A Mass of Farewell was held marking the departure of the Missionary Society of St Columban from the parish, with Archbishop Diarmuid Martin confirming the church would remain open with a dedicated priest.
  • 2018
    St Pappin's Parish formed by amalgamation The parish website states that Holy Spirit, St Joseph's and Virgin Mary parishes in Ballymun were amalgamated to form St Pappin's Parish.
